Genesis Environmental has been named the 2012 "Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) of the Year.” The state honor was awarded to Genesis for their participation with MoDOT and success in the heavy highway industry. The award was made during an Award Luncheon Ceremony at the annual Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Contract Compliance Workshop in Kansas City, Missouri.

Genesis Environmental Solutions, of Blue Springs, MO, has been awarded a $2,121,586 contract to clean and coat steel mechanisms in four clarifier basins, two ground storage tanks, and other metal structures for the Johnson County (KS) Water District #1 (WaterOne).

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Fort Leavenworth has awarded a $30 million contract to a joint venture between a Blue Springs environmental services company and a California operation. Genesis Environmental Solutions Inc. and MW Services Inc., based in Temecula, Calif., signed a contract for the job order, which lasts five years.

Genesis was awarded $400,000 contract to provide remediation of lead contaminated soil at multiple single family home sites in downtown Kansas City. This project is partially funded by a grant from the Missouri Housing and Development Commission and in cooperation with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MODOT) awarded the contract to KTU Constructors and their subcontractor IPC. IPC chooses Genesis to provide high performance coatings on over 500 Bridges. Valued at nearly $1,000,000, Genesis is contracted to apply Epoxy coatings to various bridge beams on each bridge produced at IPC’s Precast manufacturing facilities.

Today the company's expandable 16,000 square-foot Blue Springs-based headquarters has more than 20 employees and three acres to accommodate a work shed and the growing legion of vehicles and heavy equipment required to tackle the customers' needs.
