American Petroleum Institute (API) 510 Pressure Storage Tank Inspector

Job Description: The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge with Aboveground Storage Tank system components, operation, monitoring devices and API 510 program requirements and have current Certification by the American Petroleum Institute as a Pressure Storage Vessel 510 Inspector. Candidate must have a minimum of five years’ work experience in the petroleum storage and distribution field.

Provide technical management of assigned tank inspection projects, including direct interface with designated site representatives, assigned resources, subcontractors and vendors. Take responsibility for completion of field inspections, field documentation, interpretation of applicable codes and standards, report preparation and technical review in order to prepare documents and reports. Work frequently with field technicians, must be able to work in confined spaces, must be able to climb storage tank ladders and stairs and ladders.

Candidate must have ability to express self effectively both orally and in writing, must be able to travel periodically, must be able to work independently with minimum supervision. Promote and adhere to corporate ethics program and health & safety program

Desired Skills: Good working knowledge of notebook computers equipped with Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office products, Adobe Acrobat, and other common computing programs.

API 510/570/653-STI Certified Inspector

Job Description:Perform inspections in accordance with API and STI standards on atmospheric tanks and pressure vessel equipment for purposes of recommending and approving repairs or certifying compliance.

• Candidate should be detail orientated and be capable of recommending and approving repairs as well as performing visual inspection of completed work.
• Must possess certification as an API 510/570/653-STI Inspector.
• Must have a minimum of one (1) year’s experience conducting API 510 Inspections.
• Must possess certification as an API 570 Inspector.
• Must have a minimum of one (1) year's experience conducting API 570 Inspections.

• Candidate must be proficient with standard computer software such as MS Word and Excel and be able to write detailed inspection and turnaround reports while maintaining an organizational system of files.
• Candidate must be capable of climbing, working at high elevations and working in confined spaces.
• Identifies circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety procedures and equipment.
• Properly uses and completes customer and company job related forms and paperwork.

Job Standards
• Requires high school diploma or equivalent, technical school or college credits preferred.

• Must have 2 years previous experience as an API 510/570/653 inspector or Five (5) years experience as a certified Level II NDE Technician.
• Ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.
• Ability to prioritize and complete work assignments by specific deadlines.

Working Conditions
• Field duties require outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.
• Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel.
• Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
• Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
• May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.
• May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.

Physical Requirements

General Environmental Laborer

Job Description: The ideal candidate would have some background in underground & aboveground storage tank systems, and general construction knowledge. Current OSHA 40 Hour Hazardous Waste Operations, OSHA 10 or 30 Hour General Industry or Construction Industry training certification, confined space training or other OSHA certifications a plus. Training can be provided for the right individual. Applicants with current Class “A” CDL with tanker endorsement and dump truck experience a plus.

Candidates must be physically capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling 50 or more pounds, willing to work in all weather conditions: extreme heat, cold, dry or wet environment, able to work in confined spaces and not be afraid of getting dirty. Must be able to obtain general and respiratory physical for wear of respirator. Knowledge of hazardous waste industry is a plus, previous tank cleaning experience is a plus.

Job Description: Heavy Equipment Operator/CDL Driver/Labor-This position will require you to provide a wide variety of tasks including but not limited to operating the following equipment types: hydraulic excavators, mini excavators, compactors, skid loaders, commercial motor vehicle tractor & trailer, dump trucks, vacuum trucks and other types of industrial cleaning equipment.

Education / Training

  • Surface preparation & protective coating applications on above ground piping; steel structures; and other related appurtenances.
  • Operate & maintain various blasting, spraying, & other equipment;
  • Material handling (measurement, mixing, measurement)
  • Utilize scaffolding, rigging, access, containment, systems, & safety equipment;
  • Accurate paperwork completion, & other duties as assigned;

Industrial Painting - Foreman

Industry: Industrial Painting

Job Type: Full Time Employee – Experienced

Education Level: High school or equivalent

Job Description:This is journey level heavy industrial coating work. Work involves responsibility for the performance of skilled coating tasks in the application of paint to a variety of surfaces with brush, roller, air or airless spray systems.

Power Plant environment will require the performance of hazardous duties from sky climbers, spiders, scaffolding and ladders.

Qualifications: High school diploma from an accredited school or its equivalent. Five (5) years of experience as an Industrial Painter with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in journey level painting with Two (2) years or more of Foreman experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities and other competencies necessary for success in the target position.

Must possess and maintain a valid CDL driver's license. Must posses and maintain a valid telephone number. Required to pass and maintain qualification for:

  • Respiratory Protection Physical
  • Pulmonary Function
  • Qualitative and Quantitative Fit Test (s) May be required to work overtime, or alternate hours, as necessary for the efficient operation of the department. Position may be designated as Mission Critical by Department Director.

Knowledge on a journey level in the standard practices and techniques of the trade. Such as proper use and application of paints, varnishes, stains, shellacs, lacquers, enamels, solvents, primers, alkyd enamels, epoxies, silicones, polyurea, and polyurethane coatings. Knowledge of materials preparation as pertaining to two and three-part coating systems. Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade pertaining to the application and storage of various materials. Skill in the use of tools of the industrial coatings trade and the ability to operate same. Skill in the abrasive blasting techniques to achieve proper surface preparation. Knowledge of paint application equipment repair and maintenance.
